اصغر فرهادی  (متولد۱۷ اردیبهشت ۱۳۵۱ در خمینی‌شهر – اصفهان) کارگردان، فیلم‌نامه‌نویس و تهیه‌کننده فیلم ایرانی است.
فیلم جدایی نادر از سیمین وی جایزه اسکار بهترین فیلم خارجی‌زبان و جایزه گلدن گلوب بهترین فیلم خارجی زبان را دریافت کرد، همچنین او نامزد دریافت همین جایزه در بخش جایزه اسکار بهترین فیلم‌نامه اقتباسی برای فیلم خود بود. اصغر فرهادی در جشنواره فیلم کن ۲۰۱۶، جایزه بهترین فیلم‌نامه جشنواره فیلم کن، را برای نگارش فیلم‌نامه فیلم فروشنده دریافت کرد.
